Our Story
J. A. Smith & Associates Inc, CGA, CFP (JAS) began offering accounting and tax services on February 1, 1991 with a goal to provide exceptional customer service. The firm was built on a strong infrastructure and leading edge technology. Staff training and quality control of products and services, including an obsession to maintain excellent customer service, form the foundation of the practice's principles. In 2000, J.A. Smith & Associates became the eighth accounting firm in Canada designated as ISO Certified, an International Standard for Quality Control and is currently certified under ISO 2008.
Planning, and a view toward achieving the goals and objectives of our clients, is first and foremost in delivery of our service, whether providing personal or corporate services. For example, we maintain both Quickbooks Advisor and Simply Accounting Partner status. We also introduced our New Business Package which provides new business with professional advice relating to structure, tax issues, and all the hows and whys of starting up a business, followed with solid training on either Quickbooks or Simply Accounting.
In 2002, we became pioneers in providing online CFO services, this service is offered under Controllership Focus Online to all of our business clients who need year round assistance and guidance with their business.
